Turn off Printer Notification

Document Printed Notification A new feature included with service pack 2 is the ability to receive notification when a document was sent to a networked printer. Its intent was to let you know where and what you sent to the printer. It seems great in theory but if you are doing a great deal of printing it can get annoying. The following steps will show you how to disable this popup.

  1. Click on Start then Settings then Printers and Faxes.
  2. From the File Menu click Server Properties.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Clear the Checkbox next to Show informational notifications for network printers.
  5. Click OK to close the Server Properties and and then close the Printers and Faxes window.

  6. You will no longer receive print notifications.
